About Bermuda Plein Air: “The group was started in Jonah Jones’ backyard in Somerset about twelve years ago. Since then the group has had eleven annual shows and will be having its next annual Plein Air show at the Dockyard Arts Centre, opening in September, 2015 ... Usually every week, depending on weather, an email is sent out to the group, saying that we are going to be at a particular location, most often on Sunday and occasionally on a Saturday. The meeting places vary from private homes to public spaces all over the island. We start around 9.30 and paint until noon, at which time we put up all the work that has been done and have a group critique, the object of which is to help people grow and improve their skills. During the session the more experienced painters in the group often spend time going around offering advice and encouragement to anyone who needs help.”Read more: Bermuda Plein Air-About

About the Masterworks Museum: “Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art is a not for profit organisation, which means that our funding comes from friends in the community and abroad. We rely entirely on the generosity of others, through donations, our volunteer programme and membership. Part of our mission is to build a major collection, not only of Bermuda art from the past, but also one that embodies the artists of today, as well as a vision for the future. By embracing all art forms, we hope to encourage artists from both Bermuda and abroad to develop their talents in our inspirational island setting. We also encourage the repatriation of works of art inspired by the island, and welcome any gift that may enhance our Collection.”Read more: Bermuda Masterworks-About Us
